Terms of use
Last updated 1 November 2026
EV Site Planner assists site design decisions. It does not design, approve or certify electrical work.
Every installation must be designed, installed, inspected, tested and certified by a competent person under BS 7671 and the Building Regulations. Check every result before you rely on it.
1. About these terms
These terms are between you and EV Site Planner Ltd (company number 17548497, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ). In these terms, “we” and “us” mean EV Site Planner Ltd, and “you” means anyone using the site. By using EV Site Planner you agree to them. The planner is made for businesses and sole traders in the EV charging trade. If you use it as a private individual, your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
2. What the planner does, and does not do
The planner helps you plan and present EV charge point sites: surveys, mark-up, drawings, calculations and documents. It assists your design decisions. It does not design, approve or certify electrical work, and its calculations and checks do not replace the judgement of a competent person or the requirements of BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations or any other law or standard. You are responsible for checking every figure and for the work carried out.
A report, drawing or checklist made with the planner is not an Electrical Installation Certificate, a Minor Works Certificate, a notification under the Building Regulations or a statement of compliance. The site audit records checks against PAS 1899 and the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 to help you review a site; it is not a formal compliance assessment.
The guides, glossary, lessons and quizzes give general information. Standards change, so always check the current edition. The courses are not an accredited qualification and do not show that anyone is competent to carry out electrical work. We are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to.
The site, its design, text, drawings, guides, courses, logo and code belong to EV Site Planner Ltd. The reports and drawings you make for your own jobs are yours to use and share with your customers.
3. Your projects
Your projects, photos and documents are saved only in your own browser on your own device. We do not receive them and cannot see them, so we cannot recover a project if it is lost. Clearing your browser data, or using a different browser or device, can mean a project is no longer there. Download a backup to keep your own copy, especially before changing devices or clearing browser data. How other services are used is explained in our privacy notice.
Everything you put in the planner stays yours. You must have the right to use what you add, including photos of other people's property.
4. Fair use
Do not use the planner to break the law, to upload harmful files, to try to reach other people's data, to overload or copy the service, or to resell it without our agreement.
5. Availability
The site is free to use at present. We work to keep the planner available, but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. We may change, add or remove features. Download a backup of important projects at any time.
6. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise we are not liable for loss of profit, business, contracts or data, or for any indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £100 if greater.
7. Ending
You can stop using the planner at any time. Your projects stay on your device, and you can download a backup of them whenever you like.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
