FOR ELECTRICIANS AND EV INSTALLERS DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL

What the planner does

Everything in one place, from the first site photo to the handover pack. Each part works from the same scaled drawing, so nothing is drawn twice.

The planner assists site design decisions. It does not certify electrical work.

How to use the planner

Try the example
  1. Add a planName the site and choose domestic or commercial, then add a site photo, PDF drawing or map.
  2. Set the scaleMark a length you know, such as a 4.8 m bay. Every route and bay is then measured.
  3. Place chargers and routesAdd chargers, boards and bays from the picker, then draw the cable runs from the supply.
  4. Check and issueSee what the design still needs in Design lab, then download the PDF pack from Issue.

Draw the site to scale

For everyone
  • A scaled plan from a site photo, PDF drawing or map
  • Satellite, street or Ordnance Survey map from a postcode
  • Floor plans from a scanning app or CAD file
  • A tag on every plan says how it was scaled
  • Ready-made layouts for homes, car parks and rapid hubs
  • Apple Pencil on iPad, and DXF export
A car park in 3D with the cable routes lit from the supply to each charger

Show the client

For everyone
  • Realistic, unbranded chargers in a 3D showroom
  • Your own product photo on the model, at real size
  • The client’s own site in 3D, with traced buildings
  • A fly-through and a pitch clip of the whole site
  • Show client mode and recorded walkthroughs

Checks as you design

Mainly for installers
  • Each cable run checked as you draw: current, volt drop, Zs and CPC size
  • Supply capacity, fault level and selectivity
  • Cable routes, trenches, ducts and dig quantities
  • Existing services from the utility search
  • Reach, walkway, footway and accessible route checks
  • A design summary of every check

Results are for you to check and confirm. The planner does not certify electrical work.

Three pages of the example project’s engineer pack: the site survey, the marked-up plan with its key and the feeder pillar schedule

Paperwork from the drawing

Mainly for installers and councils
  • Marked-up plans, engineer pack and client pack
  • Materials list and single-line diagram
  • DNO application pack and connection options
  • Demand forecast for now, 2030 and 2035
  • Tender pack in one numbered PDF
  • Your company name and logo on the documents
  • Made for UK work: BS 7671 cable calculations, PAS 1899, the Smart Charge Points Regulations 2021, the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 and CDM 2015
Design lab with the survey evidence record checks

Approvals and evidence

Mainly for councils, developers and owners
  • Site audits against PAS 1899 and the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023
  • Readiness checks for the Smart Charge Points Regulations 2021 and the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023, with a guide to each
  • Survey evidence and record checks
  • Design options, with what changed
  • A decision pack and draft email for the client
  • A technical review record for a qualified reviewer
How site audits work for councils and site owners

Audits and checks support your judgement. They do not certify compliance.

Running the job

Mainly for installers and councils
  • Programme and snag register
  • Five stage decisions, from quotation to handover
  • CDM records
  • Commissioning and handover record
  • Asset register and an overview of every site

Works anywhere

For everyone
  • iPad, phone or computer, with nothing to install
  • Keeps working with no signal
  • Projects stay on your device, with backups and recovery
  • Find any tool or export by name
An interactive guide figure: a twin pedestal charger on its base, with the trench cut open to show the duct, cable and marker tape

Learn as you go

For everyone
  • Guide library, glossary and calculators
  • Interactive figures you can drag or tap: how a charger charges a car, a rapid charger, a pedestal install, a site sharing its supply, and how an electric car works
  • Two short training courses with knowledge checks
  • A help drawer, ? buttons and a tour
  • Help me start: two questions, then the right place to begin

Courses are for revision. They are not an accredited qualification.
